Operation Policies and Forms

Policies

Admission and Registration

Our center is a state licensed child care center dedicated to serving the needs of young child.  We are concerned with the mental, physical, emotional and social development of all children and operate on a non-discriminatory basis.  The major criterion for admittance is the individual child's ability to benefit from, and contribute to, the program.

All registration material must be completed and signed before a child may attend the Children's Learning Center. This includes a Physicians Statement from your Doctor, and current Immunizations.

There is a $30.00 registration fee per year, per family.  This fee is due upon registration and the following September 15.  Registration fees will be prorated for children who register after April 1.  There is also a $20.00 registration per child for summer day camp.  This fee also includes two camp t-shirts.

Hours of Operation

Children's Learning Center is open Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.  Children attending morning pre-school should arrive no later than 8:45 am.

Tuition

Tuition payments are due in advance.  Advance means the first day or earlier of the period for which you are paying.  Everyone paying in advance will receive the discounted rate.  You may pay tuition on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly basis.  Tuition not paid within five days of it's due date will be considered delinquent.  If tuition becomes 10 days delinquent your child will not be allowed to continue enrollment unless special arrangements with the office have been made.  Under no circumstances will a child be allowed to attend if tuition becomes 30 days delinquent.  In fairness to all and in order to maintain a high quality program we must be consistent with our tuition policy.

The Children's Learning Center reserves the right to dismiss any child from our programs.  A one week notice will be given or until other arrangements can be made.  In such a case a refund will also be given. The Children's Learning Center will be closed New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday), Christmas Eve. 1/2 day and Christmas Day.  We cannot discount tuition for holidays.  Tuition will remain the same during these days.

Meals and Snacks

The Children's Learning Center does not provide lunch.  Children need to bring a healthy lunch to school every day.  This lunch needs to be self-contained, which can be done easily with the use of ice packs and thermoses.  We do provide a nutritious snack in both the morning and the afternoon.

Illness and Medications

Children should be kept at home if they show any signs of illness such as, a fever of 100 degrees or higher, excessive coughing, unusual rash, infectious eye irritation, vomiting, diarrhea or heavy colored discharge from the nose.  Daily health checks will be performed at the Children's Learning Center to screen and protect your child.  Therefore, if your child becomes ill while at school you will need to pick your child up.

If medication is to be administered at the center we must first have our medication slips completely filled out and signed by the parent.  Medication must be prescribed by a doctor for the child receiving the medication.  We cannot administer over the counter medications.
